I love Van Gogh. He was a master artist, draftsman, and a genius in the use of color. Although he painted quickly, he applied his artistic knowledge with every inspired brushstroke. My artwork has been deeply inspired by Van Gogh, his letters to Theo, and his desire to express himself through the medium of paint.
I've titled my painting above, "Joyful Encounter." I painted this textured palette knife painting using brilliant azure blues, effusive reds, and warm golds. Although I rendered it in a spontaneous fashion, I applied my knowledge of color theory and design. This painting is a statement piece and is available to purchase on my website.
