Paint:  I use both Winsor & Newton and Holbein paints.  I specify which brands for certain colors. 

Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Red Light (W&N), Permanent Alizarin Crimson (W&N), Ultramarine Blue (W&N), Cerulean Blue (W&N), Chromium Oxide Green (W&N), Yellow Ochre (W&N), Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna (W&N) and Titanium White.

Brushes:  I love using the Raphael Brushes with Gouache.  These will get you started. You can always add more later.  Be sure to get the right product number.  These are the short- handled brushes.  You’ll find them at Blick Art Materials online only.

Raphael 8534 Precision Brush – flat, size 12 short handle.  Raphael 8534 Precision Brush – flat, size 10 short handle.  Raphael 8534 Precision Brush – flat, size 6 short handle.  Raphael 8504 Precision Brush – Round, Size 6 short handle. Raphael 8504 Precision Brush – Round, size 2 short handle.

Paper:  Arches 140 lb cold pressed white paper in a 10”x14” block or Saunders Waterford 140 lb. Not (this is a pad).

Palette:  Martin Universal Design Watercolor Palette, blue case on Amazon.

Medium:  Winsor & Newton Water Colour Blending Medium (in bottle).

Bring paper towels and a rag for your brushes.
