This painting was inspired by my time at Anna Maria Island in Bradenton, FL.  The ocean glistens with layers of turquoise, teal, and deep blue, suggesting movement but not turbulence. Gentle waves roll toward a pale sandy shore, where the foam catches the light.

The brushwork creates a sense of fluidity—both in the water and the sky—while the cool color palette of blues, aquas, and whites conveys calm and openness. It feels like a moment of stillness by the sea, inviting the viewer to breathe and linger. This painting began as a study for a much larger piece buy ended up as its own painting.
