This painting was inspired by the beauty of the gulf at Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL.  The gulf glistens with layers of turquoise, teal, and deep blue.  The brushwork is soft and naturalistic, creating a dreamlike impression while maintaining realism. I purposefully left out any sign of land to embrace the vastness of the ocean's horizon.
