Alen Air Purifiers For Art Studio

There are six different Alen Air Purifier models to choose from so that you can walk into your studio, take a deep breath, and smile.  After six years of ownership, I'm still smiling. Oil paints and varnishes create VOC's (volatile organic compounds).  Charcoal and pastels create dust, and pastel dust, especially the cadmiums, are toxic. Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.

I love trees and I love to render them with feeling. This particular tree is rather poignant to me because it grows in Greenwood Cemetery just outside our family mausoleum and outside burial plots. My grandparents, great-grandparents, and other family beloved family members are buried there. In early times, families used to spend their Sundays picnicking and strolling about the hills enjoying the breathtaking scenery.  I've titled this painting, "Radiant...

Chattahoochee River Painting

I've long been enthralled by the Chattahoochee River.  Living north of Atlanta, it's one of the few places that a soul has to wander that's not too far from home.  It's possible to spend a nice amount of time gazing at the fast moving waters in complete solitude.  This particular area is called, Jones Bridge.  The old bridge has since come down and a new one is being built so that other wandering souls can cross from one side to the other. This 36"x 36" acrylic painting, "Autumn Infusion," on wide border canvas has a kinetic that carries your eye along...

Apples on Canvas Painting

As I sit here writing about my apple painting, I'm thinking of a scene in "Good Will Hunting".  After getting his love interest's number in a bar, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) taunts the man who didn't get her number.  Will bangs on the window of the coffee shop the man is sitting in, and asks him through the glass if he likes apples. When the man says, " Yes, a crisp Gala apple is delightful on a sunny fall day!" Will slams the number against the window and says, "Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?"  So, I...
