This 6"x12" poured acrylic abstract ocean painting, "Ocean Tides," is a symphony of color and movement, capturing the essence of the sea without the constraints of form.  Swirls of deep blues, vibrant turquoises, and hints of foamy whites collide and merge, mimicking the ebb and flow of waves.  It's a visceral experience, more about the feeling of the ocean's boundless energy than a literal depiction. Three aspen trees stand tall and slender, exuding an air of mystery. Their trunks reflect the light in a shimmering dance that hints at early autumn. The trees, closely grouped, yet distinct in their individual forms, create a harmonious rhythm. Their branches reaching out like graceful arms, remind me of the bible verse, "A threefold cord is not easily broken." I found these trees on Snowmass Mountain and knew I had to paint them.
